COVID-19 has been more aggressive in some people who are at-risk, including pregnant women. Thus, this study aims at outlining both pregnant and postpartum women’s profiles with COVID-19, hospitalized in a special unit of a teaching hospital in Paraná, from January/2021 to July/2022. This is a descriptive and quantitative study based on secondary information. Data such as Demographic, clinical and obstetric were collected from the studied cases. The results refer to 288 women, of whom 53 of them occurred in 2021 and 235 in 2022. The case fatality rate was 0.7% in that period. The severe form of COVID-19 corresponded to 4.2%, the moderate form was 4.5% and the asymptomatic ones were 91.3%. Based on the cases recorded in this research, 96% were related to pregnant women and 4% were postpartum women; 58% of them were from Cascavel city, 45% had some comorbidity and 76% were vaccinated. Premature delivery (11,4%), fetal death (1.1%) and maternal dead with COVID (0.7%) were observed. The disease was more aggressive in 2021 when most cases were not protected with the vaccine.
